WORKING HOURS.....EFFICIENCY

We Indians have a recognition of being dedicated souls when it comes to work but

looking back as to why does this happen the fault lies entirely in us.
Are we being exploited just because we
are very loyal to the firm we work in or is it because we dont project ourselves
of being very shrewd and stern in terms of estimates provided for the projects?

An average indian always overshoots his stipulated working hours and does the overtime work
as compared to a strict american national who works for exactly 8 hrs.Do we lack
the discipline in restricting ourselves to the just office work and have no time wasting
tactics in terms of chatting or too many coffee breaks?

The answers to all the questions asked so far might vary from person to person but the bottomline
is that the time of 24 hrs is not put to judicial use.The repurcurssions
are not felt immediately but in the long run.The immediate question that might be
asked would be what provokes the people to work so hard?why would anyone really care to work beyond his limits
and pull along himself. Its all money and job security as in today's world there especially after the aftermath of
recession where we are still on the road of fast economic recovery, a job lost will get people into the jinx and
add to the tough life ahead.

There must be a work around for such kind of process already deployed at many of the firms. The work we do
should be out of interest but never a burden. It should be healthy mix of fun,joy and some serious business in
terms of money making. We can retaliate and a lay a new system which would not only bring about a good work
life balance but also bring about descipline amongst all journre's of people.

Another concern here is the rewards that an employee gets for striking the stone hard day and night.
There might be people who like to work but most of the people would like to spend their evenings not under the same
dim lights of office just for nothing. There must be some motivating factor that should get him/her going.

I just hope the whole corporate life would get into a good shape and bring some new life to the working atmosphere.

FIRST JOB

The question that strikes any under graduate student in his pre-final year is what next?Should he/she take up a job,or go for further studies like Gre/MBA/Civils or start a venture of his own.The most common answer that people give is do what your instinct says or where you see maximum growth....but i think the question that should be asked is what suits you the best or which kind of job profile would give you satisfaction and the required zeal to perform better.

There are loads of people who are going abroad immediately after their graduation or taking up management courses but how many of them are really doing the job which they thoroughly enjoy???

In my case i had the inclination towards doing management as i realized a few innate qualities and had given my CAT with the aim of doing an MBA in IIM's but god forbidden had not got a call because of which i landed up taking a software job.I used to think repeatedly if it was a mistake of not going to the US for MS which would have been a settled life though with initial hiccups or not putting in the required effort that could have seen me through to IIM's but work life does enlighten such category people.

I have put in over an year of service in one of the top most consulting industries and it taught me what i should be looking for,the apt role that i fit into, and if masters in science or management is my cup of tea.

Work life though not well paid at early stages would introduce us to different journre of people and we get a clear understanding as to the kind of profile that we would fit into. When we get back to post graduate studies we can relate things better and will be having a clear understanding of the knowledge that is being harvested.

i look at everything as an investment...The time that we invest in learning adds to the development in terms of career.Though this way we are to put in extra effort rather than just choosing a career path right away after passing out of graduation but i feel its worth as the repercussions would be much more productive and give a sense of satisfaction of what we do in the later part of life.

Budding entrepreneurs also need to have the necessary exposure as to how a company works as the responsibility that lies in shaping a company is huge with tremendous pressure and prior experience would help us look at things differently and the act at crunch situations better and also open a gateway to many professional contacts (professional networking forms an integral part of any organizations growth in terms of marketing and sales).

So people do not hesitate to work until you realize what job profile you want to look upon and settle in life.

SINGLE TRACK

There are many people in this world who are actually in luv
but stil arent sure whether their beloved also share the same
relationship.... so they back off from letting them know what their
heart craves to convey........So this post is for those folks.......

There is a very good friend of mine who strongly believes
in love but till date has never ever given a sign of getting into
any such relationship .....One fine day she came up to me and
said that she had a soft corner towards a person n likes him....i said
WOH!!!!!!!!!!look who's talking?????A person who was always
against getting into anything of that sort what she calls strangling herself
such a person talking such crap.....

But when i couldnt see the normal austere expressions .......the normal
look....i could make out that it has got to do with some serious issue. She said that
her swain wasn't interested in her but in someone else which is the same case
with her too i.e the new character who wasnt interested in my friend's beloved.......
In such a complex situation what woud i advice my friend to do??????
Should i ask her to go and tell him whatever is there in her mind
or should i ask her to kill that feeling of her and be baffled....I asked her to go on
and tell him what she feels about him..... In case of a dillemma then the kind of thoughts that
come to the mind can be summed up as below............Varied quetions strike your mind for which
you might not have an answer.........

Are you an intuition, or just an illusion,
Are you a fantasy, or transient ecstasy,
Are you here to stay, or will you fly away,
Are the one to hold, or mystery to unfold,
Are you the one? Are you the one?

And finally its you who will be in an embarassing state knowing what to do and what not to.
In few cases u got to be self centered......If u are under the notion that
the bondage of friendship would be broken because of LOVE then
this is a misconception. How do u call a person a friend who gives up
friendship just because he or she was proposed by his\her friend????I call him\her a moron
when he does that....So those who are in battling with such clutches please
feel free to express your love.....I'm sure u wouldn't loose anything from the present
treasury in saying so...Moreover u might as well come positive with your love...

HOSTEL.........

Students when come to the hostels for the first time mostly for their under-graduation what they would be pissed off with
or find pathetic is the food in the mess.I still remeber those days when the catering wasnt privatised the kind of stuff that was offered to me...
For many of them they might miss their parents initially but the impact isnt long but one thing that is to be compromised a lot is on the food
and compells the taste buds to accept the so called nutrious diet offered in the hostels....

Why do people usually fight for food in hostel mess when there's something special that is made???Why is that they have litres of milk in the night
when it is just provided as an additonal source just after dinner? Why is that the 'junta' move out frequently for an outing in the weekend and have their
tummies satisfied to the fullest and return to the hostels(not talking of city life)????

The answers are with the students itself who are a part of all such activities....One of the answers may be because of the frustated life that the
students are going through striving for good food......But this doesnt mean that people go on rampage n act like 'junglis' in getting their share...
the kind of impression that any other normal person would get is pretty obvious......!!!!!!!!!! I've seriously seen how the atmosphere would be when
that kind of environment prevails...........I've seen how my fellow batchmates used to wrangle for tea....!!!!!In course of action burning their hands n dropping
it hear n there n may be even on others shirts.....who damn cares attitude???

The scenario can be visualised an can be given a serious thought as to why such a kind of instances arise.....the basic funda behind everything is FREEDOM....
RULES when imposed on students provokes them to curb them and break through them....When a student is asked to maintain a queue for taking his meal during his lunch hour or may be some other time in the mess hall he would definetely like to treat himself as a VIP and go get his meal off the queue. The more the rules imposed on any person that can be solved in rather simple manner, the more it would hamper the discipline of the indivisual....BUt again there are exceptions.....When the rule of not using a cell phone is imposed students use it because it is a necessity....an easier means of communicating and keeping in touch with parents and other welwishers and poeople dont use it more lavishly like talking in class on a mobile but where it is not at all necessary dear friends please do maintain decency.Abide by the simple rules wherein some healthy atmosphere develops....

Where ideas meet
Initative…………………….

Every person in this world has an unique identity of his own…The same person has some unique features…There is some glow that can be associated with each and every person in this world….A week ago I was in NIT trichy .in the cultural fest organised by them. The moment I entered the college premises and seen the fellow NITians i could immediately find out something special in them.
As soon as u see a student,if u observe him properly u can associate some kind of brightness with him/her.There in some kind of aura associated with everyone and what I observed in there reminds me my pals back home. The enthusiasm among the students was very high and the most catching feature was all looked to be of possessing high IQ levels and simply u can make out from the faces as to what that person is capable of….
The first impression that a person gives is the best impression as it is said normally and I could make out the difference between an NIT guy and a guy from any other college.I always dreamnt that I would be a part of the elite group of the IITians and now I really regret of not being a part of it just because I didn’t drop an year. The place there was rocking and the kind of students out there were more encouraging.
Being in a company of dullheads and being a part of the other blooming students does make a difference and that is what makes a difference in the profeesional career or even in pursuing further studies. This is the reason why most of students who make it to the top institutes are from institutions such as iit, nit.Every student out there had something in him and u can make out from the facial features.U can feel that once u have been in such kind of environment….!!!!!If u have a chance of preparing with such students then do take that chance of mingling with them and definetly u’l find the difference and it would reflect in ur profeesional career.
This doesn’t mean that students who aren’t bright are dullheads.Behind every success the formula is most cases is only hardwork. But the amount of effort that u need to put in varies from group to group. That is why groupstudy is always preferred to indivisual self study.
Company does matter and on the lighter side I am happy that I managed to find a group of similar standards and would have missed them if I weren’t in the college in which I am presently in…. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
